Battle of Los Angeles

2Asstractor 4 years ago

Rather than being a shitty Hollywood's movie, Battle of Los Angeles is a real event that happened throught the night of the 24 february 1942, at Los Angeles. At 19h18, because of the presence of many light in the sky, air raid sirens sounded throughout Los Angeles. At 2h15 in the morning, the radars of the DCA detect a huge object in the sky at 190 km from the coast of L.A. that headed in their direction. At 2h21, all light in the city were shut down and a curfew was declared. At 3h16, a big UFO was seen over Santa Monica then the DCA open fire for more than an hour, firing more than 1400 12.8-pound anti-aircraft shells. 3 civilians died because of the shells falling back to the ground, and 3 from heath attack. The DCA did no harm to the numberous flying objects, not even to the big one.

The event did the first page of the Los Angeles Time with pictures, it was recorded on tape and thousand of witnesses saw it. After the WWII, Japan deny having sent any aircraft in the area of L.A. This is one of the most important public sighting of UFO, moreover with radar detection. If there is any proof to the UFO presence on Earth, this one is a solid one.

I agree with you that UFOs were spotted on the night of the 24th - 25th February. I do not, however, believe that extraterrestrial beings were responsible for their presence.

The UFOs spotted can be explained in any number of ways, as per my argument against alien UFOs (see Link 1) In fact, any reasonable explanation other than alien UFOs could work, as the TV show 'Fact or Faked' found. As the article (see Link 2) notes, the photo in the newspaper article was retouched to make it look more dramatic.

Basically, it's more likely that the military were spotting their own anti-aircraft ammunition rather than an alien UFO.

I wish we had HD footage or radar signatures left. While I see the consequence of the events, it is still a fairly large jump to go and assume that was an extraterrestrial visitor.

Any sources for that? Any solid documentation. Any evidence? That's the problem with you tin-foil hat lunatic. You don't cite any sources.
